Operation Write Home sketch because I care
This week end I decided it would be fun to participate in Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party…. what a mouth full. So far this has been a ton of fun. Here is the link to the original thread http://operationwritehome.org/labor-day-weekend-vcmp-master-thread-2/
Every few hours, another link will be posted over at the starting place on the Stars & Stamps blog. You can visit each stop and play along by making a card to go along with the challenge on that page. Are you ready for your first challenge? Go!
The first challenge is to make a winter or Christmas themed card for OWH following a sketch!
I used Close to my heart frosted paper pack and inked the edges with twilight ink I also spotted liquid glass on the corners

Paper roses using Artiste
Today I am working on paper roses and I actually remembered to take pictures as I was making them so that I could finally make a blog post lol
Top View |
Side View
I cut the roses at 3 1/2 on my cricut using the Arstiste cartridge accent 1 letter F
I then cut all the edges so that I could separate the petals, and I inked the edges on both sides
start on the outside edge and begin rolling with your quilling tool turn tight for the center and wrap looser as you go
Keep turning until you get to the center tab, glue underneath and stick to the tab
now just ruffle your petals and that is it!!
